Ranges are indicative typical values across construction classes. Per-construction fitted distributions yield calibrated ranges specific to each fabric. The Finished Product row is the cumulative outcome — what the EPI/PPI Counter measures at final QC. Loom relaxation row not yet built.
About this tool. EPI (ends per inch) and PPI (picks per inch) measure the density of warp and weft yarns in a finished fabric. Sarena's inspectors currently measure these manually with a pick glass. This tool demonstrates automated measurement from a single photograph using classical image-processing methods (Fourier analysis of yarn-spacing periodicity).
How to use. Click any thumbnail below to analyze that image. The system detects the yellow carpenter's square (when present), establishes pixel-to-millimetre scale, applies FFT to the fabric region, and reports the dominant thread spacing in each direction as EPI and PPI. Ground-truth values from the synthetic generator are shown alongside for verification.
